Nulo does NOT use white potatoes, tapioca, corn, corn gluten-meal or wheat of any kind.
With Nulo you are getting a patented probiotic. This special strain of Bacillus coagulans support your pet’s immune system, improves nutrient absorption, reduces gas and improves stool quality.

Why this matters?
Grains are often linked to food allergies while ingredients like
potatoes and tapioca are associated with elevated blood sugar levels in
pets. Over time, high glycemic ingredients can put pets at risk for
weight gain and other health conditions.

Why this matters?
Not all protein is created equal. Many brands list animal-based protein
as the first ingredient though generally ingredient #1 only makes up
~20% of the food whereas the top 3 make up ~55%. Dogs and cats have
short intestinal tracts so they have less ability to digest commonly
used plant-based proteins.
Nulo keeps carbs at 35% or less.
Why this matters? While some level of carbs is necessary to produce kibble, pets do not have a true dietary need for carbs.
